Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how AmorPDF (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website (amorpdf.com) and our suite of online PDF utility tools (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy is designed to comply with applicable United States federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and other applicable state data protection regulations.

By accessing or using our Services, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information about you in three main ways: information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically, and the content of the files you upload to our Services.

A. Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: When you register for a Free or Premium AmorPDF account, we collect your name, email address, and account credentials.
• Billing Information: If you purchase a Premium subscription, our third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) collect your billing details, such as credit card information and billing address. AmorPDF does not directly store or process your full credit card numbers.
• Communications: When you contact our customer support or interact with us via email, we collect your contact information and the contents of your messages.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Services, we automatically collect certain device and usage data, including:

• Log Data: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps, and pages viewed.
• Analytics Data: We use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to help us measure traffic and usage trends.
• Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember your preferences (such as Dark Mode settings) and authenticate your session.

C. User Content (Uploaded Documents)

To provide our core PDF utilities (e.g., merging, compressing, converting), you must upload documents to our servers. We do not read, data-mine, copy, or share the contents of your uploaded files. These files are processed strictly via automated algorithms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following business purposes:

• Service Delivery: To operate, maintain, and provide the features of AmorPDF, including processing your PDF files.
• Account Management: To manage your account, process payments, and provide customer support.
• Communication: To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
• Improvement & Optimization: To monitor and analyze usage trends, identify bugs, and improve the overall user experience.
• Security & Compliance: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and other illegal activities, and to protect the rights and property of AmorPDF and its users.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share your personal information under the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We share information with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting hosting (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), payment processing (e.g., Stripe), and email delivery. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person, or AmorPDF.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your personal information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Security and File Retention

Securing your data is our absolute highest priority. We implement robust, industry-standard TLS technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

• In-Transit Encryption: All data, including file uploads and downloads, is encrypted during transit using 256-bit AES SSL/TLS protocols.
• Strict 2-Hour Auto-Deletion: To ensure maximum privacy of your documents, all uploaded files and processed outputs are permanently and irretrievably deleted from our servers exactly two (2) hours after processing. We do not keep backups of your processed documents.
• Account Data Retention: We retain your account information (name, email) for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

5. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense

We partner with third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdSense, to display advertisements when you visit AmorPDF. These advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
